This ride is perfect for guests who want a fuller, more immersive horseback experience without paying private-ride pricing. Mornings are typically the calmest time on the beach, with cooler temperatures, gentle surf, and softer light — ideal for photos and first-time riders. Our guides give a quick orientation before you mount up so every rider, even total beginners, feels confident in the saddle.
Routes follow the Gulf surf line and our gentle, well-trained horses are matched to each rider’s experience level. All skill levels welcome.

No prior experience is necessary. Our guided rides are designed for all skill levels, including complete beginners. Our staff will give you a brief orientation before you mount up so you feel comfortable and confident.
Is this ride suitable for children and first-time riders?
Absolutely. This ride is open to ages 6 and up. Our horses are gentle and well-trained, and our guides keep a close eye on every rider to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time.
What is the weight limit for riders?
Our maximum rider weight is 300 lbs. This is for the safety and comfort of our horses.
What happens if the weather is bad?

Calm horses, beautiful Gulf views

Luke was an amazing guide. The horses were very well behaved, the beach was beautiful, and we learned so much about the horses and the island. The Morning Special is a great length — long enough to really enjoy the ride without it ever feeling rushed.

A horse ride on the beach has been on my bucket list for more than a decade. I finally got to do it on the Morning Special and had tears in my eyes when we went over the dune and saw the beach. Such a great experience! Everyone was friendly and helpful the entire time. The hour and a half was perfect — highly recommend.
